Beehive

In spring 2024, I was lucky enough to acquire a hive a bees. However, I needed to make them a home first, so I decided to build a Langstroth 10-frame two deep box hive for them.

Using a kit from a beekeeping website, I began assembling the boxes with wood glue, nails, and clamps. After building the structure, I painted all the boxes with an oil based paint to help ensure longevity. After that, some of my friends and I worked over one afternoon to paint everything.

Now, my bees love their new home!
